Intense pulsed light hair removal is an easy and effective way of removing unwanted hair from the face and body. It can also significantly reduce the amount of hair regrowth a patient experiences. During treatment, our skin care professional will pass a wand-shaped handpiece over the treatment area. Intense pulsed light from the Prolite system enters and breaks up pigment within the area’s hair follicles, disrupting their normal cycle of growth.
The wavelength of light can also be adjusted to account for a patient’s specific skin type and hair pigmentation. Patients generally require four or more treatments to target all hair follicles within their growth cycle and achieve optimal results.
